ABOUT ME
Her practice is characterised by a dynamic exploration of materials and processes, forging a unique visual language that transforms intangible and complex human experiences into tangible forms. As an interdisciplinary maker, Asha delves into tactility, form, and audience interaction, creating physical artefacts and films that evoke profound emotions.
Her work is heavily research-led, incorporating traditional crafts such as drawing, collage, mixed media artwork, creative writing, and extensive reading as essential methods of communication and production. Asha dedicates time to experimentation, employing a process of ‘thinking through making’ to refine her ideas and concepts. In recent years, she has begun synthesising both digital and analogue processes to enhance and enrich the audience's engagement with her work.
With a keen interest in the intricacies of human nature and experience, Asha’s creations aim to foster understanding and emotional connection through her thoughtfully crafted artefacts.
